Doumbia's International Health Services, First Annual Fundraising. HELP PEOPLE HELP THEMSELVES, IN THE MALIAN VILLAGE OF KOUNGODJAN AND NEIGHBORING VILLAGES

November 2005 - Doumbia's International Health Services received medical equipment donations From IMEC for the Sibiry Doumbia Memorial Medical Health Center. The total value of the project shipment was $252,700.00 the due to lake of financial resources January 2006 was delayed. ) which includes:
• General Medical Supplies
• Linen and Textbooks
• Patient Rooms
• Surgical Suite
• Critical Care Suite
• Pediatric Suite
• Medical Supplies
Although the initial construction is finished, we need financial support for the daily administration of the Health Center as well as the shipping cost to send all of the materials over to Mali: Read more.

In October 14, 2005 DIHS partnered with the COUMBA Foundation and Mr. Russell F. Brown of the Stockholm76 organized a fundraising event for the Sibiry Doumbia Memorial Medical Health Center in Mali, West Africa the events raised $975.00

The event took place Friday October 14th at Kolumbia nightclub 1801 K St NW in Washington DC. A $10 donation will be taken at the door to support the health center in Mali. Board members Chris Seek and Christina Marsigli will also be in attendance raising awareness of the health needs of the rural community in Mali and highlighting the work of the non-profit organization. THE ANNANDALE HIGH SCHOOL INTERNATIONAL BACALAURIAT PROGRAM IS PLANING:

Our Center in Mali has been selected to be supported by Annandale High School (ASH IB) during it first Global Action Week. The theme is Global Poverty/Hunger. Planning a fun run for which the students get sponsors who pledge a certain amount for the laps they run around the tracks.

Our projects in Mali is the first among many project to be sponsored by AHS IB program to motivate the students.
